During an ALADIN informal meeting besides the EWGLAM/SRNWP (Sinaia, October 1995), the need of an ALADIN Newsletter appeared. On the 21^st of November 1995, the ALADIN Newsletter 0 was born. Since that date, Newsletters have been quarterly then half-yearly produced with a regularity subject to the availability of the editors! Between 2000 and 2003, the ALADIN Newsletters have been published twice a year jointly with the ALATNET Newsletters.
