  On the occasion of the first Assembly of Partners, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by eleven directors of National (Hydro)Meteorological Services (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia)) in the presence of the Secretary-General of WMO and the French Ministry of Transports. • Second MoU : 2001

  The second ALADIN Memorandum of Understanding was signed on May 31st 2001. It was valid for four years and a half, till the end of November 2005. The main changes were : – an enlarged definition of the ALADIN partnership, with three levels of "rights versus duties" : Full Member, Associated Member, User; – more precise guidelines for the commercial use of ALADIN products; – stricter rules for the registration of the manpower dedicated to ALADIN; – creation of a Technical Cooperation (…)

  A booklet was edited for the ALADIN 10 years anniversary (May 2001). Both French and English versions exist. Some copies were given to the ALADIN Partners. Added copies could be asked to Patricia. • First MoU : 1996 & 1998 versions

  In 1996, the evolutions of the ALADIN project made it necessary to get a minimum of formalization around the project in order to keep it as successful as it had been during the first five years. The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was born. It first recalled the current principles guiding research, development and maintenance of ALADIN (more precisely ARPEGE/ALADIN, to recall the interdependency of the two systems).
