  Cycle 33T1, export version number 1, updated on July 1, 2008 Archives (contains source code, input files and some namelists) : located on cougar: marp001/pub/export/cy33t1 export_main_CY33T1.tar.gz contains all sources from cycle CY33T1 (main) the archive export_CY33T1_bf.01.tar.gz contains all sources from a bugfix for cycle CY33T1 (bf.01 in our Toulouse local versioning). • ALADIN training courses

  The first ALADIN training course was organized in September 1997 in Toulouse by CNRM/GMAP. Most of the trainees were newcomers in the ALADIN project and could benefit from a complete training covering many aspects of the ALADIN project such different as : historical account of the project, management of the project, operational aspects at Météo-France, operational ALADIN-LACE, problems of maintenance and validation, physics, dynamics, structure of the code, coding rules, clearcase and (…)

• Phasing

  This important operation is completed twice a year to "phase" the ALADIN code with its "mother" code ARPEGE (see history of cycles and phasing team and some statistics on phasing effort). The ALADIN code is following the ARPEGE one in its permanent evolution (see history of ALADIN cycles). This is due mainly to the technical evolution of calculating machines (CDC, CRAY 2, CRAY C90, FUJITSU, NEC...) which imposes a new adaptation of the code to the new machine properties. • AROME training courses

  So far, two AROME training courses have been organized for ALADIN/HIRLAM partners : The 1st AROME training course took place in Poiana Brasov (Romania), on November 21-25, 2005. 53 people from 23 countries attended the one week Seminar. 10 teachers gave 22 hours main lectures on the most important points for running AROME in the forecast mode, considering both the theoretical and the practical aspects of: Méso-NH physics ALADIN-NH dynamics AROME prototype, including the externalized surface (…)
