branch CNRM_CM6_DEV from GMGEC
Contains:
(1) Changes related to the introduction of SFXv3.0 in CNRM-CM6 (Bertrand) :
- variables Ts, Z0, Z0H et Qsat need to go out SURFEX via the interface
- Calculation of Qsat = Qsati if temperature < 273.16K
- New parameters for tropical forests, more in agreement with observations (rsmin = 175 and veg = 1.0)
- The agregation of soil depths is done via an harmonic average rather than arithmetic one
- NAM_REPROD_OPER allows to desactivate all news and to go back to the default values of parameters
- Correction of bugs in the calculation of Z0 in COARE and ECUME
(2) ISBA-DF (Bertrand) :
- Update of certain processes (lateral drainage, extrapolation of the humidity profile, ...) in agreement with the article Decharme, Martin, and Faroux (2013)
- Coupling with groundwater table (Vergnes et al. 2014)
(3) FLAKE (Patrick & Bertrand) :
- various bugs and numerous changes related to (1)
(5) ISBA (Emilie & Christine):
- change of the parameterization of hydric stress on tropical forests
- other values of parameters for Ag-s and CC.
(6) Coupling SURFEX - OASIS – TRIPv2 (Bertrand):
- suppression of TRIPv1 and its direct coupling with SURFEX
(7) ISBA (Ramdane & Christine) :
- dynamical vegetation
- 19 functional vegtypes instead of 12.
(8) GELATO 1D (Stéphane)
(9) SNOW-ES (Eric & Bertrand):
- adaptation of ES for its use in CNRM-CM (6 or 12 layers), importing if needed some of the CROCUS features:
- fine basement layer for the calculation of the soil/snow flux
- decrease rate of the albedo allowing to suppress the lower bound on glaciers (taking into account of the latitude, the humidification,...)
- taking into account of the transport of snow by the wind functions of the superficial density
- ...
(10) FA PREP files can be read as input in PREP step (Bertrand).
(11) Few modifications for the surface chemical emissions
(12) remaining to be discussed with other contributors and users:
- passing to netcdf4 with compression of the diagnostics
Nearly all of these changes are ready to be included in V8.
As CNRM_CM6_DEV is probably the most transverse and largest contribution, it’s proposed to be included second, just after NEW_PREP.
Beginning this merging in early 2014, it should be waited to be finished and tested around the end of February / beginning of March.
