Preparatory documents
These
documents reflect the structure of the programme of the plenary
session on the afternoon of April the 11th. They are
surely not meant to replace the extended presentations, they are
simply an advanced introduction to their context and content. There
is obviously some minimum overlap or inconsistency between the
documents, reflecting the common issues between the topics and their
unequal level of progress up to now. Indeed the discussion we shall
have at the occasion of this workshop should deal with a complex
problematic that intricately mixes strategic investment questions and
detailed scientific interrogations. The imperfect character of this
set of preparatory documents therefore mirrors the reason why this
meeting is so necessary and its detailed outcome so uncertain.
Depending on your own interests you may attach more or less
importance to documents numbered 1, 2 and 5 below. Documents 3 and
especially 4 & 6 are however those best reflecting the overall
aims of the workshop.
The
authors’ international team wishes you a good reading and the
desire to learn more at the occasion of the detailed presentations
and, more importantly, their associated ‘question-time’.
One should however not forget that the ensuing discussion sessions
will be the decisive part of the workshop.
