At the kind invitation of the Hungarian Meteorological Service, the 5th ACCORD All Staff Workshop will be held in Zalakaros (Hungary) as a hybrid meeting from 31 March to 4 April 2025, in the premise of the Karos Hotel Spa

Karos Hotel can host all participants with a prefered rate. All details are in the comprehensive information document prepared by our hosts: Information pack
Please, read carefully the document before filling your form for the hotel.

You can register at the hotel with this specific form to be send back to the hotel rendezveny@karos-spa.hu with szepszo.g@met.hu and css@accord-nwp.org in copy.

More informations according to your questions :

  • The hotel has parking spaces if you arrive by car.
  • It is not compulsory to book your room or your lunch at Karos hotel, but it is recommended for practical reasons and the rates have been negotiated.

Registration

The registration for attending the workshop in Zalakaros is now closed. However, if you did not register yet, you can still do it for an online participation (without a presentation) throught this form until 25 March 2025.

Social events

The ice breaker will be on Monday evening, after the poster session.

An Excursion (walking tour, hiking) in the surrounding nature is planned on Wednesday afternoon. Its length depends on the weather and the allocated time. Rain coats, hats and shoes for excursions are recommended to have in your luggage.

If you plan to swim in the mornings or in case of heavy rain on Wednesday afternoon, please do not forget to bring your swimming suit since usually neither swimming pools nor saunas are textil-free in Hungary.

Dinner on Wednesday after the excursion or the afternoon programme between 7 and 11
pm. All the workshop participants are invited to a buffet dinner with several meal options,
wines, beers and soft drinks in the hotel restaurant

Sessions

This year the sessions are divided in two:

Regular and General Area Sessions with general talks.

Topical Sessions on more specific topics with more time for discussions.

All sessions will be recorded and the videos will be available on this webpage.

We will have 2 rooms for the ASW.
All General Area Session will take place in the conference room.
A second room is available all week, behind the conference room, for Topical Sessions when in parallel with another session.
For those who want to take the opportunity to meet beside the meeting the second room will be free the rest of the time.
