• 14) The definition of the OFFLIN output fields to be written is suppressed from files init_outfn_....

  When CTIMESERIES_FILETYPE = "OFFLIN", the init_outfn_... files allow to define which fields will be written in the output OUT.nc files.
  They force to define two times the variables to write: in the write_... routines, when the write_surf routine is called for each field to write. in the (...)

• 13) The NETCDF forcing file can be partially read, by M. Lafaysse (CEN).

  Two keys are added in NAM_IO_OFFLINE: LDELAYEDSTART_NC: If .TRUE., the variable time in the NETCDF FORCING file is considered. This variable TIME is defined for each forcing time step, so the forcing time step corresponding to the date of beginning of the simulation (coming from the PREP (...)

• 12) The output SNOW fields can be written 2D (number of points / number of snow layers), by M. Lafaysse (CEN).

  4 new namelist keys are introduced: LSNOWDIMNC, in NAM_WRITE_DIAG_SURFn: In case CTIMESERIES_FILETYPE = "OFFLIN", this key allows to write the snow output fields in 2D (number of points / number of snow layers). • 11). The GRIB-API library is updated to version 1.17.0.

  For a long time, the version of the GRIB-API library given in SURFEX was 1.9.9.
  It causes some problems with recent versions of gcc.
  We update it to version 1.17.0 (last version) for SURFEX V8_1.

• 10). A first version of the new coding related to the building of ECOCLIMAP-SG

  This version of the coding for ECOCLIMAP-SG is only a first version and will probably be modified in the next version of SURFEX. It will be used in V8_1 to do tests before the official release of ECOCLIMAP-SG.
