  • Résumé : La variabilité de la vapeur d’eau dans la couche limite convective continentale en croissance est étudiée à partir de simulations te d’observations de la campagne IHOP_2002. Les fluctuations observées résultent de contributions d’échelles différentes. La variabilité de la vapeur d’eau est importante. Elle est bien simulée par LES et s’explique, au premier ordre, par la dynamique de la couche limite. Les observations comme les simulations indiquent des distributions asymétriques de vapeur d’eau dans la couche limite. Elles résultent d’intrusions d’air sec depuis le sommet de la couche limite et soulignent le rôle de l’entraînement. Une méthodologie originale permet de déterminer l’influence de l’advection horizontale, des hétérogénéités de surface et des inhomogénéités initiales de l’atmosphère sur la variabilité à méso-échelle. Enfin la représentation de la variabilité de l’humidité par les paramétrisations est discutée dans un cadre uni-dimensionnel.
