Information on available data in the FASTEX Central Archive
Quality Control Processing
Each set of data from ships participating in FASTEX is validated
by the data providers before sending it to the FASTEX Central Archive.

Meteorological Organization (WMO), was applied on operational data
received at Météo-France (in Toulouse, France) from the Global Telecommunication System (GTS) and provides quality control flags on several parameters.

quality control procedures handbook (last update: 13 Mar,1997).
Additional information
Data from the operators, identified as belonging to the ships
TFTA1 and EOGW1, are now available.
Minor Correction on quality control flags
Minor Correction in latitude and longitude (between 0 and 0.3 degree)
Data of the research vessel LE SUROIT were divided into
two groups: data from the automatic station, which are
now identified as belonging to the ship FZVN0; data from
the operator, which are now identified as belonging to the ship FZVN1.
Position replaced by more accurate data (1/1000 degree)
or corrected (minor correction, between 0 and 0.3 degree)

Data provided in ASCII format, one line for each message (per ship and date).
